OS X v10.6.8 or later, 2GB memory, 8.8GB storage
I upgraded my old iMac, early 2010, to OS X 10.11.6 recently and it's doing good.
But I want to make a recovery bootable USB flash drive.
(Yes, i know about the recovery partition on the hard-drive but i want a USB stick in case the hard-drive fails)
So I found these good instructions: http://www.macworld.com/article/2367748/os-x/how-to-make-a-bootable-os-x-10-10-y osemite-install-drive.html
It says I need to have the original 'Install OS X... .app' file still around.
But I don't.
* Where can I get a direct link to re-download it?
(App Store won't show it to me -- can't even search and find the page for it -- probably since I already have 10.11 installed.)
Help please. Couldn't find another way by searching here or support.apple.com.
Sincerely,
Roger
