If you spend a lot of time outdoors exploring, this is the kind of free face to have loaded up onto your Garmin. Compatible watches: Fenix 5/6 series, Fenix Chronos, Marq, Vivoactive 3/4, Venu. Garmin goes through a fair bit of effort to limit battery drain by watch faces, so comm through BT is limited to a background process. I haven't figured those out yet. But when I do i might add something like that. In general I'm trying to avoid 'using my watch as a phone', since any real data searching i'm just going to pull out my phone. You, too, can eliminate your own separation anxiety by putting the face of your sweet kitty (or puppy, or baby, or bff) on your Garmin, for you to gaze at whenever you want to along your run. Garmin has come out with a free app that you can download to your smart phone that allows you to do just that – upload any photo and it displays on the face of your Garmin watch.
First things first – download the “Garmin Face-It” app for free through iTunes or Google Play. Through the Garmin Connect Mobile app (which you must have already downloaded to your smart device), you access the Garmin Face-It App. Then you can get creative, even uploading a library of options so you can change the face of your watch whenever you’d like.
Garmin running models compatible with this app include: fenix® 3, fenix 3 HR, Forerunner® 230, Forerunner 235, Forerunner 630, Forerunner 735XT, Forerunner 920XT, vιvoactive®, vιvoactive HR.

How to install a Face-It watch face
1. Turn on your phone. Download the Face-It app from the App Store(iPhone) or Google Play(Android).
2. Open the app.
3. You'll be prompted to choose a picture from your phone's library. You can then choose whether you want the face to be analogue or digital.
4. Once you've chosen your design, hit 'Send to device'. Garmin Connect will automatically fire up and you need to sync the your device as normal. Note: You can also connect your device via USB to a PC and sync via Garmin Express.
5. Voila, you're customized.

We should let you know that Garmin universally opts for low resolution screens to help extend battery life when you're on your run. This means that you'll need to choose your image wisely, and have realistic expectations. Rather than choosing a portrait with a lot of depth and colors, choose a logo with a white background, such as a Chicago Cubs logo. Less is more in this scenario.
